The aim of the present study was to investigate of effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy based on mindfulness on anxiety, motivations and performance of track and field athletes. The research method was a semi-experimental design with two groups of uncontrolled. The statistical population of the study consisted of all students of an amateur athletic club in Azadi sport complex, and 20 samples in experiment and control groups [40 samples in total). Using a targeting non-random sampling method, the three tools of Beck anxiety scale [1961), Charbonio Sports Performance questionnaire [2001) and Achievement Motivation Inventory [1994) was used, as well as multivariate analysis of covariance analysis [MANCOVA). The results showed a significant difference between anxiety, developmental motivation, and athletic performance in pretest and posttest in two groups of the experiment and control in athlete students(p<0/001). According to findings, it can be concluded that cognitive-behavioral combination and reduction of anxiety based on mind-awareness could decrease the levels of anxiety and improve the status of motivation and therefore the performance of the sports exercises.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of sport activities on anxiety and its relationship between boys high school non-athletes educational progress. Statistical population of this study included 18 high school students of Ilam (3753 = N). All of the 8 school students were cluster- randomly selected of research samples. Then they were randomly divided two experimental and control groups (4 schools for experimental group and 4 schools for control group). Then all students were standardization based on age, height, weight, and physical education score at the previous term before participation at the research period. Experimental subjects in each group were taught volleyball, basketball, running and badminton in the second semester 91-92. The educational period was 2 sessions per week. The control group subjects participated in physical education lessons. They had not taught the mention sports. To achieve the research goals was used 28-SCL questionnaire. Validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by 15 experts and its reliability was studied in a pilot study with 30 subjects and calculated as 0.93 respectively. For data analysis the descriptive statistics and inferential statistics methods, including Kolmogorov- Smirnov, Single sample T-student test, and path analysis, ANOVA, Shefee test, linear regression and multiple regression by application of SPSS.V.16 software was used were used. Research findings showed that there is a significant relationship between students' anxiety levels and their sport activities. The anxiety and sport activities predictor of student achievement are.
